Blind Butcher chef-partner Oliver Sitrin began his culinary career at age 16, with a traditional apprenticeship under British Chef Nick Barclay of Barclays restaurant in Dallas. He graduated from Richardson High School while continuing his apprenticeship, and went on to graduate from El Centro’s culinary school.
His career path in fine dining has led him through a number of Dallas restaurants, eventually landing him at Abacus. Working under the supervision of Top Chef alum Tre Wilcox, Oliver polished his skills and rose to the position of Catering Chef. During his time at Abacus, he traveled with Abacus Executive Chef Kent Rathbun to the Food & Wine Festivals in Aspen and Miami. He also travelled to Italy for the truffle festival in Alba, hunting for truffles with specially trained dogs.
Tomar & The FCs
Tomar and the FCs is a soul band out of Austin, Texas. Lead singer, Tomar Williams, got his start singing lead and playing various instruments on the Chitlin Circuit with his family band as a youngster, and worked as a musician and backup singer on the Austin scene in the 80s and 90s.
